well everyone has to start some where and im no expert as well.

You have to let us know what kind of power you wnat to make or moreover what it is you actually want to do with your car and users here can start pointing you in the right direction.

Like do you want to hit up some auto x events or 1/4mile type setup? Is this your daily driver and do you want to keep it as such?

are you more into making your car look nice?

what kind of budget are you working with for each setup?

Also what kind of car do you have now i see 97 but what trim is it? ex lx dx ??

most common mods are: headers exhaust and lowering it. it all depends on the budget.
