Default Thinking about a new civic......

Im getting tired of Raw American muscle..... its too easy, I want to get something with a little bit more of a challange. I was thinking about getting a new civic, but I heard that once you hit 100mph, they are subject to take off, much like the DC-9. Anyone heard of this????
Thanks in advance

are you talking hatch or coupe/sedan? Um.. i'm not sure about the new civics but I drive a 99 coupe and i do 100mph all the time. fastest i've gone was about 125mph before running out of room. car was still stable. I also don't have a spoiler either. And ya, I know they don't really do much but at speeds as high as 100mph, they start helping.

eg is the body code used for the 92-95 civics. technically, its only the hatchbacks, but its used for all of them.
