Default -=Turbo Help

ok i just bought a turbo kit. greddy kit. i have a stock honda civic ex with only a cold air intake on it. do i need to do anything to the motor so it doesnt blow?? ive head like you have to get new pistons and stuff... idk all i know is how to put a turbo in b/c i helped my friend put it on his integra.

greddys kit is made to run on stock internals, just dont take it past like 6psi, now, if you want to up the boost, consider some engine building

forged pistons and some h rods is what you you would have to do.

+1 And new engine management, injectors, a good tune, etc.. Do some research man, sounds to me like you are far from ready to install a turbo.

I hate to discourage anyone from tackling a project like this, but if you don't know the ins and outs, you'll end up paying for it BIG TIME in the long run. I studied my *** off for 6 months before my install. It's been over two months, and I'm still not fully up and running. Don't rush it, do the install when you're good and ready

agreed with above you cannot rush this type of modification. Id reccommend scouring the forums for turbo related speak and get educated.
