head lift will push coolant into the overflow tank fast depending on how much you get. we didn't start experiencing head lift tell 400+hp reused arp head studs. if you are gonna torque the studs more than 3 different times change them out, save you a LOT of headaches

alright thanks Trent and riceburner, if i take the valve cover off i might as well do the headstuds, so i'll kill two birds with one stone. Also i'll drain the oil fill it up to a normal level isntead of WAY too much, that will probably help too.

removed my valve cover today, taped off the "H O N D A" and am painting it gloss black! Got some new oil, a new gasket and new valve cover bolts/washers and am gonna re-install the valve cover tomorrow with a normal amount of oil in there. Pics prolly tmrw, i'll let you know how it goes.

my oil feed and drain lines are on solid, but as soon as i start to take off, oil starts leaking from an unknown location (since it doesn't do it at idle, i can't get a specific location of where its coming). It's coming from up above, which made me think it was my valve cover gasket. There was oil right where the valve cover seals, so it looks like it was coming from under there, but i replaced the gasket and bolts and the valve cover is on tight and it's still leaking. I was thinking headlift as a possibility, but i drove it today and wasn't anywhere near boost, it was reading vaccuum still and it started leaking. Because of this, it's not that i'm hammering on it and losing oil, its just leaking out somewhere. Anyone with any ideas? There is most oil on the right side of my block/valve cover (driver side) all over my belts/resorvoirs and also on my hood where it is shooting up. Ideas?

As you can see its on top of the valve cover, on top of the turbo (since oil is pooling in the bolts), and also sprayed up on my hood. Its also on my PS resorvoir/hoses, and my whole manifold is soaked. You can also see that the dizzy is compltely dry, that whole half of my engine is fine. Ideas?

And you guys like my new painted valve cover? 8)

Did you put any kinda of sealer in the hump of the valve cover like where the cam would be. Ive had problems with it if i dont put any kinda of sealer there. Just a thin layer is all thats needed one the cover and head

yeah i did, i used some high temp gasket sealer. Anyway car is in the shop, gonna have them check the cam seal, power steering pump, oil feed line, and turbo inlet. I'll let you guys know whats up. Also welding my donwpipe and getting new back brakes, which will both be nice.

turned out to be the oil feed, just used soem loctite tape and all was fixed. I knew it was somethin little like that >

a couple shops don't even wanna deal with the downpipe. The flange looks like this:

in the 2nd picture its the weird looking flange, those two holes need to come together and then continue to the rest of my exhaust, and my wideband bung needs to be on there somewhere as well. haha

and i've got an apt. tmrw at 11 to have a shop look at it, wish me luck. Tune is coming soon!
