1990 Honda civic EF2
Hello guys! I'm new on the forum and I wanted some advice. I want to boost up my 1200cm3 stock engine by adding a Turbo, an intercooler, a dump valve, a sport air filter and if possible, a volumetric compressor. what are the Brands that would be compatible with my engine.... I was thinking of getting either Garett , Tubonetics, Greddy or HKS for the turbo. what would be your recommendations guys?

stay away from greddy. it's not as good as the fast and furious and ricer hype makes it sound (though they arent the worst). hks is the best followed respectively by garret then turbonetics. anything is possible on any car with enough coin and resources. take it to a local tuner shop (where i'm from [east tn] The Shop in Kingsport TN is the best, they can turbo anything.) if it were me doing the turbo i'd swap to a d15b7 (http://www.japangeneralmotor.com/ind...5b-engine.html) if your wanting to stay single cam or the zc dohc (if you are going for cheap). if you want to keep with the stock motor before you turbo at least put stronger pistons rods etc. if you get the d15b7 do a vtec head swap (mini me) lightly build and then buy the turbo (kit if you want, i prefer to do a custom turbo setup). Dashboard Audio (also east TN) will completely build a ls bottom end (punch sleeve low compression internals, the works) provide the turbo (of your choice, of course) build the kit and install it in your car for around $6700 usd. your car will be in the shop for 3-4 days (for install and tuning) and you have a very reliable turbo'd car. creating roughly 450 hp on pump gas and on about 20 psi. you have to provide the engine head. anyways hope this helps a little. pm me with any questions and i will contact my people for correct answers.
