Default 4 weeks till turbo.

ok guys i am going to need some feedback here.....but i want feedback from those who have used the applications i am going to discuss. I have made the final decesion and i am going to turbo my D16 within 4 more weeks (Thats when ill have the $ all together).....but i have a few questions to ask the more experienced. Im getting the Greddy Kit w.o the front mount intercooler. I have an automatic tranny and do not plan on upgrading internals so i wanna run a constant 6PSI for reliability reasons. Here is where my Qs start. The kid comes with greddy emanage, and i dont really know what that is......is it fuel management? Or do i need to purchase a seperate FMU?> Another Q is.....i wanna beef up the fuel system.....so far i have a walbro 255 fuel pump, and new fuel filter.....i was thinkin of getting an AEM fuel rail......but was curious to kno if itll give me gains in fuel delivery with the stock injectors. This week im installing the Holley hi performance fuel pressure reg and some ZEX spark plugs.....Last Question is.....the turbo included in the kit is a mitsu 15G turbo.....but idk what the wastegate it set at.......is there a way to change the wastegate so its set at 6 PSI? I dont wanna buy a boost controler because im never going to run over 6 psi........so LEVI and sacs and kappa what are your opnions on this>? (all help is appreciated but only from those who kno.......im serious about boosting the car but i wanna make sure i do it right)

Im also deciding if i should buy the kit new......or pick this one up........what do u think? U think theres anything wrong with this one? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...spagename=WDVW

BRAND NEW> http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...spagename=WDVW

id definetly appreciate a convo on AIM or something from someone whos experienced greddy kits..

thanks guys! talk to ya soon

ill reply more in depth tomorrow, im on my way to bed, but i just wanted to say that i wouldnt buy from that seller (on the new one). they have pretty bad feedback, and most of it looks like they dont always sent out items that are ordered. just not worth the risk. try to stay with feedback ratings over 98%. and read the comments, some negatives are pretty dumb.

get a boost gauge so you can set the boost better, and a manual boost controller isnt expensive, and can make a huge difference. i believe you can bend the rod to the wastegate actuator to lower the boost, then fine tune it with the MBC. the E-manage is the fuel management, but ive heard a few accounts of it failing and blowing engines, so i would consider scrapping it for an APEXi or something similar, maybe a Hondata. and with boost, a fuel rail is not a bad idea, you probably wont need it, but it is decent insurance. and doesnt the kit come with injectors? the B-series ones do, but im not sure about the d-series.

Sorry I miss read - I thought you were looking for answers from "LEVI and sacs and kappa". My error.

I have the greddy kit with the E-Manage. I have heard that nobody likes it. Mine has been good to me so far. It will need to be tuned - this is a must. I gained like close to 50hp from untuned to tuned. Just find a shop you can trust to do it.

My "D Series" kit did come with the 320 injectors.

My wastegate has an adjustable rod - no bending here. Which I think is nice.

I agree with "Sac" get a boost gauge for sure and controller would be nice too. You really need to know how much you are boosting. Just set the controller and leave it.

I currently am using the stock fuel pump and rail - run 10PSI with 240HP and don't have any problems with the fuel. I'm sure if I try to boost to much more it will become an issue.

I think I covered all of your questions. Hope it helps you.

it had an adjustable rod? sweet. the guy who told me about bending it had a greddy kit on his gsr from back in the day. he said the kit had over 100k on it.[] but he was still hitting decent times with it. though it wouldnt boost over 2 psi till 3rd gear.
