To be perfectly honest. I think 500whp is too high of a goal. It takes some serious money to make 500whp. I have 7 grand in my car and its only seeing somewhere around 250whp. That should give you an idea. Dont forget extra money going in to cool the damn thing doing 500whp.

My advice, start with a different car other than a civic. I dont even think you can control a civic with that much power.

IS the golden eagleblock guard worth the 100.00, i have it wanna use it ,but like everyone says sleeving is more pratical. input? What applications would the guard be more useful for?

The only practicality of block guards as far as I'm concerned is to line the base of your trash cans.

Man, I'm telling you, I'd really start very very simple because you've got another year of research and another 10K ahead of you to reach your goals. You will do what you want, but 500whp is not just a number that's going to pop up on the dyno after slapping some T3T4 turbo on a very mild engine build.
