Default cant decide

ready to buy the turbo, but i cant decide on the trim and the a/r!

im definately going with the garrett t3/t40e ballbearing turbo... for SURE.

but im trying to decide on the specs of it...

i cant decide on going with 57 trim and .63 a/r or 57 trim and .48 a/r.. i read up on the ball bearing turbo, they spool way faster than a normal turbo, they last longer, and there more reliable.

im assuming if i went with.63 a/r i would still get my boost at a lower rpm because it spools so much faster, and i also want the top end power that a .63 a/r turbo will provide. but i dont want to wait for the boost all day!

and if i went with the .48 a/r i will get my boost a lot quicker, i know this, but when im on the freeway (which i do most of my driving to work) i want to be able to pull up next to that stang or Z and walk on them from 70-100 and i think that it may lose a lot of power running at that high of speeds.

i will be recreationally running this car at the 1/4 mile next summer for some fun, but im keeping it with stock internals and7.25 psi boost for at least a year or maybe longer.

which specs do you think would be better for my dd habits? if the .63 starts boosting around 3-3 1/2grand with the ball bearing turbo i will go with that, but if it dont im gonna have a whole lotta fun stop light racing with the .48 a/r..

or am i just still a total noob and it would only make a mild difference between the two? still learning here and thats why im asking the question

does anybody actually know what rpms my stock d16y8 will be peak boosted with these 2 different specs. if anyone knows i would love to hear.

thx for the input in advance

.63 a/r if you want your turbo to hold a lot of boost. the .48 will max out quickly if you want to go over say 250 whp.

.48 IMO doesn't belong on a Honda period, especially with that size compressor wheel.

What goes in, must come out. The exhaust side needs to meet the demands of the intake.

.63, because when the turbo kicks in it will be just like riding a two stroke.
