Dude turbo it. for the price of all that you are talking about u could have it turboed, tuned (by a pro, no shortcutts) and be on your way to moding another aspect of your car. its not that expen$ive. I pay for a house, car, insurance, electricity, cable the whole 9 yards and i still drop $$$$ into my civic every month and don't blame your job i work at a ponderosa steakhouse. I get paid crap. save and turbo it. it will give you the power you want and it wont cost as much as internals, head swap and all the other bolt-ons that don't give you the hp they even say. even when you bolt-on a header, exhaust, intake, plugs & wires and all the other over priced stuff. u still need to get it tuned in some way. your adding more air, fuel and spark all the stuff you need to make it faster but your computer don't know what your trying to do. you have to tell it that your adding in all that stuff to get the whole performance from that product. but its your money and your car. someone on here said they could get you a kit for under a $1000. thats a good deal.

well this is in response to the other thread that this was combined w/, the b series greddy kits have come down ALOT, there is a guy selling them w/ the updated kit w/ emanage for 1800, i'm not sure about everyone else but i'd rather have everything RIGHT there when i need it instead of a million trips to the parts store, not to mention i don't like to use used parts, i'm going w/ the greddy kit and you can get a i/c w/ piping for under 400 nowdays, and then your BOV & gauges, i'll pay the extra for something that important

Iam not a big fan of used parts either...Iv been like that for as long as i can remmeber, not only with my car, but with everyting. I dunno why, i just sorta like things to be my own and let me be the one to break them in..I dunno could also just be part of my OCD.

See, here is the issue with putting a turbo on the 01+ Civics (and I'm sure Chimera will back me up on this too). There are only a few kits out there for the 01+ Civics, and the least expensive one is the TSI kit. This retails for $2600, but yes, you can find it used. The problem is though, eveyone is used to boosting a 6th gen or before, and the 7th gen is a completely different beast. VAFC II's have problems performing with turbo applications on the 7th gen, so that is out of the question. The fuel system upgrades and the Engine management (Greddy E-manage or AEM EMS) are very expensive and they are a MUST HAVE on the 7th gen, no question.

None of the big name guys like Greddy or anyone else make Turbo kits for 01+ Civics just for these reasons, it was very hard to make them work. The only brands out there are for turbo kits are: SFP, Stafford Fabrications (out of business), TSI, and Dezod. Turboing a 7th gen can be a real chore. No one makes a supercharger for the 7th gen (as Chimera stated earlier) so that too is out of the question.

For forced induction, I would say Nitrous. There are plenty of people running up to 50 shots on stock internals, on a daily driver, with no issues. Hope this helps. By the way, I have a 7th gen, so I feel your pain!!!
