Is this a good idea?(supercharger)
I saw this belt driven supercharger on ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...3AIT&viewitem= never heard of or seen anything like this. I know to stay away from what ebay sais, and i know that HP isnt cheap. This seems like a good idea, but i know if it was, it would have caught on by now right? The add doesnt seem very specific.
I was thinking it could possibly be settup like the Jackson racing supercharger with 6 pounds of boost, high pressure fuel regulator, and some wiring.
let me know what u think?

Thats half of a turbocharger, never seen that before but I wouldnt buy it exhaust gas generally turns those much quicker than what they are talking about, would be neat to find out how effective they are though. Well if you do decide to get it dont just use the fuel pressure regulator get a chipped ecu and tune it.

WOW. As bcivic said it is the compressor side of a Garrett turbo with some sort of pulley rigged to the shaft where the exhaust housing would normally go. I dont even know how you would rig this up to work on your civic but no matter I would stay away from it.
I have an Integra that used to have a fully built LS engine with a Jackson Racing Supercharger on it and I sold it and the LS head to go LS/Vtec turbo. Superchargers are cool if your looking to be different but arent really a good source to make high numbers as far as power is considered.
In the end, I wouldnt waste your money on it. You could use that $300 plus to get a nice used small turbo and piece together the rest as I am doing.
