Default Looking to buy a 2000 SiR w/ a Turbo - Need advice

hello there....

just joined today and the extent of my mod knowledge is cold air intake and mufflers.

im looking to buy a 2000 Civic SiR w/ a Turbo installed. wondering if this is a recipe for disaster. are Turbos even a big modification or am i just being paranoid.

i just sold my acura and now looking for a 4 cylinder, this old SiR w/ turbo intrigued me so just doing my research.

thanks

If you post a link to the forsale thread of it or more info it will help us alot. Turbos can be done well or they can be done cheaply, you get what you pay for. So if its some bs ebay kit on an Sir then its a waste of money. Also post pics.

ok...

lets put this another way, if you get a high end turbo kit and popped it into a 6th gen coupe Si, is this going to take a lot of maintenance time bringing to a shop etc... things breaking down randomly.... extra care and maintenance above the usual oil changes etc....

do turbo users regret putting into their civic? or does the speed achieved override all frustration...

in life, its really material maintenance that kills you... be it house, car, women, etc...
