Default GRR!!

Man this kit is really starting to **** me off. The fitment isn't exactly great. I've had to modify way too many things to get this kit together. What should I do about this:

Hit it with a hammer, even if it doesn't work you will feel better. I've never done this before, but maybe you should try heating with a torch and bend the hose to fit. But that looks like aluminium piping, so heating it might not work.

but i was thinkin along the same lines as the heating things. if not you could probably cutit a bit and use a thick rubber hose to connect it.

Bottom pipe? I've tried hitting it a lot, but it just won't fit. And I don't have a torch. I might just take it in to the muffler shop with the pics and see if they can bend the sucker.

Don't heat it with a torch as Aluminum is somewhat flamable.

I would loosen both sides up 'til the ends fit together then tighten each side slowly so they bend into place. It might be a stretch but very worthy of a try.

well what im thinking is you could cut them a little shorter...like no more than a cm or two each...then cut them and rotate them till they fit. just a thought.

I think that an oxy/acetalyn torch is gonna be way too hot for aluminium, as that will turn iron red hot. I have a propane torch, i'm pretty sure its flame is a little cooler. So maybe the propane torch won't burn the aluminium, but will heat it enough to bend. You can find the propane torches at Home Depot (or a similar store) in the plumbing department for like $40. But the muffler shop isn't a bad idea, they should know how to bend piping.

just vent it to the atomesphere until you can get an exhaust shop to make you a custom one or make it fit....
problem solved
