Well they bent the pipe, but not enough, so I ended up stripping a nut and stud trying to force it down. I contacted the seller again he contacted the manufacturer because there obviously is something wrong here. Oh, and I have a friend with a gtech that I can borrow.

My experiance is that brute force always ends up in a stripped something. If you are using alot of force chances are there is a problem.

do you have a picture of how close it is now? because if its close enough you could probably heat it ever so slightly just to bend it a little bit because you wont have to put on as much heat. you will apply more pressure, but since its closer it wouldnt be as hard.

Well, even if I could do that, it wouldn't help because I just found out that the flange got bent when the bent the pipe. [:@][:@][:@][:@] So now I'm waiting to hear back from Turbonetics. I'm actually thinking that maybe they sent me the wrong turbo because I had to trim the radiator fan housing, and pull back/bend the a/c compressor hose to get it to fit in there. Also if I turn the compressor housing so the outlet is straight down, the housing it actually touching the block. But if I turn it a little bit towards the block, theres like a couple mm of clearance.

1st off, thats not aluminum. exhaust never flows through aluminum tubing. 2nd, you cant use a rubber hose on it cause it gets really hot. its an exhaust tube. you could just cut a section out of the bend, bend it a little farther and weld it back together. i doubt a muffler shop will be able to get it right if the car isnt at the shop too

I'd cut and weld it myself, but I have no way of doing this, seeing as I don't have a cutter or welder. And when I did go to the exhaust shop, I took the entire turbo/manifold/downpipe assembly, so they were able to get pretty close. I have a feeling I have either the wrong turbo or the wrong manifold.

No, the sad thing is, it's a brand spanking new Turbonetics kit that I paid full price for. I expected it to fit perfectly, but I'm finding the most of the stuff barely fits.
