a friend of mine has a mitsubushi eclipse gsx, hes selling the turbo for $50, turbo has 60 k on it, would this turbo be okay to use in my 92 civic lx with d15 block and z6 head?? not sure what the turbo is, i think dsm 4g63 but not sure, wat u guys think?

 

Depending on what year eclipse he has its either a (90-94) 1st gen which would make it a 14b or its a (95-99) 2nd gen making it a smaller t25. 4g63 is the motor your friendhas not the turbo.Either turbo will work just fine with your motor. 60k miles is resonably low and the turbo should be in pretty decent shape, just make sure it has no shaft play, oil leaks or any cracks in the housings. Also,just fyi a good price foreither of those turbos is around $60-$100 depending on conditionand probably less if its from a friend.

yea after doing research ur rite it is the 16 g, do u think i should buy it and then rebuilt it with the kit....????

I'd get it but only if there is min. shaft play and look around it to see if there are any oil leaks on it, plus look at the fins to make sure they are not beat up.
