Don't you think if he goes above 20psi or so he'll need bigger? There's going to be a lot of air going into that engine.

 

You will be fine on 550's.

You will not run that thing over 15psi daily to often when you cant stop it from breaking loose. trust me.

 

I have 450's atm though, how much boost do you think they will top out at?

 

Depends on a lot like the size of piping, how good your tune is and so on. I would say with the turbo in the area of 15psi or around 275 to 300whp.

 

What engine are you doing all of this to? I assumed it was a dual cam by the cams camment but then the tranny from an ex threw me off.

Youll want to pick up an LSD, and a set of traction bars. Wheel hop breaks things, and kills kittens.

 

Sorry meant racing cam I guess, its is a d16y8 that I am building. I'm not familiar with traction bars, what are they and what do they do?

As for the piping, are you talking turbo or exhaust? Turbo piping is 2.5 I believe and I'm going to go with a 3" exhaust. Should I also get those polyurethane bushings for my motor mounts to help with wheel hop?
