Default Its turbo time

As of latley my girl is getting very close to picking up her new car and I know the eg si hatch she is driving will be mine to play around with (but OURS to drive, she is going to auto-X it) so I have been debating on which way I want to head with it.

Went over all the B series swaps, H sereis swaps, even dabled into the K series swaps. Looked into turbos, nitrous, and super duper chargers.

Well today it was made official when I found for a very very very good price, a TD05H turbo. Im going to rebuild the turbo, and do either a side mount or a small front mount intercooler with a CAI. I was looking at it today and decided to do a budget build your own turbo kit. Im going to see how well I can put together the whole kit without cutting important corners. I am going to be fabricating alot of the parts on my own with help from friends. Even thinking about making my own header for it. DOnt know about that though.

My goal is high high high 14s on street tires and stock suspension.
Not sure about my price goal yet though, maybe 1200ish. Not sure yet though.

Update:

Took the turbo apart and sandblasted the intake side and wastegate actuator.

Also notice the round thing near the intake half of the turbo. Yeahm the one with the huge hole in it. Thats going to need replacing. Cost of rebuilding this turbo with the new part that has a huge hole in it will be $107.00 + labor whic will be 0 in my case.

Also got 385 injectors coming soon but have since descided to remain stock. Manifold from a DSM should be in my possesion within the month and I will modify it to bolt to the de series.
