i no there has been 1,000,000 post on electric superchargers but, and there may have been a post on what i'm aboit to ask but what if u put a y tube on end of intake. With supercharger on one side and a filter on the other side. wouldn't that make it where u have intake plus electric supercharger.

 

i dont think so, cause any pressure that the charger would make would just go out the intake side of the tube...so compress air you must have a closed circuit

Imagine it this way:

You have two bottles of soda sitting on the counter, both half-full (or half-empty, maybe I'm just an optimist lol) of soda. One has a cap screwed on tightly, the other has no cap. You can leave them sitting there for as long as you like, but the one without the cap will never build up any amount of pressure, whereas the one with the cap will build up pressure
The bottle with the cap would be your electric supercharger
The bottle without a cap would be your intake + supercharger

i understand what your saying but wouldn't the suction from the engine keep the air from going out the other side of the y tube.

 

no, it would do nothing. you would be forcing air to the engine, but also out of the other intake. so there would be no gain.
