Default safe on nitrous

I ve got a 1997 civic with a b16a engine swap with minor upgrades like an intake header and exhaust. My internals are completely stock though and I have a zex dry nitrous setup but I dont know if its safe to run on my engine. it has available 55 65 and 75 nitrous jets. I was wondering if it is safe period to run nitrous because this is my daily driver and reliability is more important than horsepower so what jetting is safe and secondly does the zex box change the fuel correctly so I wouldnt have to get it tuned? Any help would be great thanks.

yea you should be able to run it on your setup. Id stick with 55 or 65 though. However, on a b16, 75 might be possible.

look into getting your **** tuned, it is just like a turbo or a SC set up you need to make sure everything is set where it needs to be adding this modification to your engine.

do NOT use it unless you are tuned for it. nitrous is a VERY powerfull weapon when it comes to HP gains. and honestly if every tuner had a lot of since don't see why everybody wouldn't just use nitrous... it really is the best bang for the buck product. The problem is that most people who use it are idiots and figure they can install and spray. Yea, your engine can take it for mabey 1/2 a bottle then ur almost guaranteed to crap out. I was in a battle w/ a guy to buy a b18c1 before i purchased my b18c, he ended up getting the motor, slapped a 75 shot on it but didn't change a thing... blew up in 2 weeks.
Colder plugs, wideband, and a A/F management item will be necessary to make it safe to run.

The reason most people don't like it is either they think it is cheating or that fact that it isn't always there and you have to continue refilling the bottles.

Alright thanks for the help guys I already have the spark plugs and AF monitor, but what kind of engine management is good and is somewhat cheap at least around the $500 range?
