Default stock ints. with turbo

I plan on putting a turbo on my 02' EX d17A2. It apppears that i can run about 6 psi. with stock internal saftely. But should I beef the ints. up to be on the safe side. If so, can I just do the top end or should I do top and bottom? Thanks.

eh u dont really need to touch the internals. If u wanna be SAFE just get a thicker metal headgasket and some ARP headstuds. Stock internals are good for 200 whp

To answer your question, yes, if you want to be safe, beef up your internals.

If you have the cash, do top and bottom internals, then you can run more than 6PSI.

just get some arp head studs and you should be good for low boost without any problems

With 6psi you will be fine, beefing up the internals would be neccesary if you wanna up the boost. You dont have to modify the topend either, but it would make a difference. And as for head studs, my mechanic said for 6psi it wont even be neccesary.

How many guys do you know that get a turbo and never try it past 6PSI? It would drive me crazy not to even try it a few times past 6PSI.
