^7thgens cant have a b-series and be road legall.
unless you know the right people
But engine-in-car wise it can go in a 7th gen right? I understand emissions laws, but the engine COULD be installed, couldnt it? But it still wouldnt outperform a kseries, right?
It could be installed, yes, but it would be dumb to do.

Yes the k20 would outperform a b16.

If you really shop around all over, you can find the k20 for cheaper. A shop in LA offered to install one in my '03 for 3000.

But where though, and thats kinda dumb
Anywhere in the states installing an older motor in a newer car is illegal. Some states just don't really check for it.

do a motor swap to the k20 they are so sweet and not to many people have them
visit honda-tech.com and just honda sites in general - a LOT of people have k20 swaps... they're not one of a kind whatsoever

boost?
Turbo's create pressure and we call this "boost". Just get a turbo for your car. Or do a swap to a B-Series or if you are loaded get a K-Series or if you are poor like most of us just stick with your D-Series and work on getting a turbo!
for the millionth billionth gazillionth time, a b-series engine WILL NOT FIT INTO A 7TH GEN CHASIS WITHOUT $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

YOUR ONLY CHOICE IS A K SERIES ENGINE OR ANOTHER D SERIES ENGINE!

K24 block from the Element, straight from Honda = $2000. I've seen them for $1000 quite a few times now.

K20A2 head = ~$1500 give or take.

There you go, Kseries engine that has torque for around 3K.

Dude, I don't know where your shopping, but thats a looot of money for a motor, which is good, but not 13,000 worth. That's a real expensive shop and yeah, if you get everything for the swap, including a new tranny, it should be about 5 grand, but for just the motor, and install, not that much.
