does any one have a D17A2 with a turbo installed?? or any one that knows someone?? how much hp did they gain with the turbo?? and is it worth getting a turbo for a d17 ofcourse an engine swap is better but is to much money... i might installed a turbo but i wanna know if its worth it

hp that you gain is totaly up to you, its highly adjustable but you shouldn't push more than 200hp-210hp on stock internals with a d series motor.

 

I asked my friends at the shop i go to about putting a turbo on my LX... they cracked up because it would work, and if i keep the LX sticker on my car I will trick anyone on the road! They said the turbo will add almost double of what you have right now.

 

like mobsta said you can do ~200 on stock internals but thats pushing it, you should do a compression test before you turbo to make sure your engine is ok.

Yes it is worth it, but you should do alot of research before hand so you know what it is doing to your car and how it works.

 

Do some research on your motor. the d17* requires a big change to the fuel system that should be done before any F/I app.
