What are some ideas of some parts to "piece together" saving some money sounds pretty good to me

dezods stuff is pure quality.... mine is in the process of being installed right now and from some of the horror stories i've heard this is seeming to be a cake walk. there are people out there who have been running dezods kit for 2+ years with no problems. if you are really going to try and piece together a kit you need to do a TON of research. you need to know how everything works, why everything works, how it ties into everything else, how you put it together, what will fit with what (thats a big one), what parts you want, and why you want it. then you have to go through the pain of find all the nuts bolts and other pain in the butt little details to make it actually work after you have actually found all the components you want. if you dont think you can/will put in the time to learn all that i say get a kit. the d17 isn't the easiest engine to turbo and if you dont put in the research you will either get something that doesnt fit, doesnt work or you will blow up your engine.

+1 if you never put together a turbo setup befor, it's going to be really hard to piece one together right and not get stuck. Likely leading to spending more money in the long run for extra parts and getting stuck multiple times during the install.
