Is there a turbo kit for a 98 LX sedan or will I have to go custom. I have the NON-VTEC engine. If I have to go custom then what all do I need??[sm=smiley25.gif]

 

Any turbo kit from 92-00 will fit your car, just as long as its for a D series motor. Im pretty sure they make kits for 98's, you would use the same turbo kit as someone with a VTEC engine.

 

The only thing that will not work is the intake charge piping. The 98 LX(which I have) has a vertical throttle body. I suggest swapping a 99/00 civic ex intake manifold from a automatic(all the plug in's are the same on the automatic intake manifold) on anyway because the Y7 intake manifold is very very restrictive. The reason no turbo kit is listed for your car is becaue the cat. converter is intergrated into the exhaust manifold and it will take removing or relocating it which by law is not supposed to be done. But you can buy a hi flow cat and put it inline like a 96-00 ex has to avoid any issues with this.
