Turbo leaking oil
So I took my air filter off when I was doing my clutch install and I noticed a little bit of oil in the intake pipe. I then further inspected the situation and noticed a tiny little bit in my bov. Im trying to figure out what exactly is causing the problem. I have the greddy 18g turbo, manifold and downpipe whichis actually set up in kind of a wierd way so you can keep your a/c. The problem is, it makes it dificult to route your return line smoothly to the pan. Right now my return lineisnt really as straight and direct as it probably should be but I think its plenty good enough to drain the turbo. My question is, could my turbo be leaking cause its getting too much oil pressure(Maybe I need a restrictor)? Or could it be a combo of getting too much oilpressure and it not draining quite as well as it should? Has anyone ever heard of greddy turbos needing restrictors? If so, where did you find a restrictor that fit the greddy inlet fitting? Im going to re-tap a new oilpan this weekend and make my return line more direct. Hopefully the turbo seals havent been damaged too badly already!
turbo compressor seal. i'de try a restrictor and see if that works. if it dosent then replace the turbo.
