Default Turbo Won't Cool Down...

I have a 99 Honda Civic with a D16 engine and a Garrett T3 turbo w/ intercooler as my daily driver. After most drives, I sit and wait for a couple minutes for the cool-down period to start up and finish (you can hear the difference, obv). But just a couple days ago I noticed no change in the sound when waiting for the cool-down period. I left it going for at least five minutes instead of two and still couldn't hear a change.

I'm definitely worried...any suggestions on what the problem is and how I can fix it? The turbo still kicks in, so it's not dead, thankfully.

well...the turbo is just on idle(or vac) to cool down it shouldnt make dif. sounds--or at least mine doesnt or any turbo car ive ownd. just the rad. fan kicks on to cool the motor down. if u just let it sit for about 1-2min you should be good.

get a turbo timer its easier.

i let my car idle for like a minute, as long as the hot oil gets out and you flow some fresh stuff in for a while you will be fine.

get a turbo timer, i hate letting my beast idle, and i forget a lot and have to start it back up fast sometimes

^^^agreed, I had to let my car idle for a few days because I ran out of time to install the turbo timer, but totally glad I did
