Default turboing a d16

im gunna be gettin a d16 soon and i want to turbo it as soon as possible... ive looked on ebay and it seems like those are the best "deals" but i need to know all of the components that i would need to put together a or would it just be cheaper to get a kit such as this one i found "TD04H-19T Turbocharger, Greddy Cast Manifold, Greddy FCU, RC Injectors, Greddy Air Intake, 1996-00' Honda Civic Ex Specific Piping, Hoses, Oil Lines and all Misc. Hardware needed to complete the install." they want $2259 for that one. i dont knwo much about turbo so your help would be greatly ap reciated

seems kinda pricey for a setup without an intercooler/BOV? You should check the local tuner shops near you. They should be able to give you a good price on a better setup with the install price included.

thanks polo... oh yea you are from around here do you know a place called japtrix? have you ever been there? do you think that they give good prices if you have been there/ know about it...i know some places around here will rip you off... im gunna go there and ask for prices and ill post um up and see if there any good.... remember i dont knwo to much about the turbo especialy the pricing..thanks again bro

basic non intercooled greddy kit runs about 1500, i say there tryin to rip u a new one even with the injectors. for 2500 greddy offers an intercooled kit capable of +100hp.

Your from south florida? Sweet! Yeah, I know about JAPTRIX, my friend has his RX-7 done there. They are good people... you should get a decent price from them. They do good work too.

Thanks guys for allt he help...yea polo i am only a couple miles from japtrix, sounds good man ill go there and get some prices... 2500 for +100 hp? i like the sound of that!

I'm Turboing my D16 and i was wondering what kinda ECU will i need or do i neven need to change the ECU that is in it?? I know hondata's are running like well $600 before tuning and i dont really wanna dish out that much ya know but yeah any help??

it depends on how much boost your going to run
the more boost - the more mods you need = more $$$$$$
so you figure how fast($) you want to go
