twin charging
Are you sure that the supercharger isn't adding to the already compressed air? I mean the turbo has compressed it to for example 8 psiand than you feed it through the supercharger, which compresses it to 5 psi under normal operating conditions, now I aggree that while the turbo hasn't spooled up the supercharger is getting uncompressed air, but once the turbo spools and you're still feeding the now compressed air through the supercharger how does it not compress it even more?
these are all very good points and i agree with them all... but this car is going to be a one of a kind anyways (ek front end, del sol middle, and i think i'm going to attempt to do an S2K rear end... still deciding on that one though. so i was just curious... i've seen it done a few times so i was just curious. it prolly won't happen i was just curiosu if anybody had done it on here and what kind of numbers yall saw. i have a friend on the mitsu forum who just bought a v6 tibaron. HE has a friend who has a twin charged tibaron and it's pushing i think 350-360'ish on 8lbs from each i belive... i can't remember the exact numbers but he's building the engine and upping the boost to hopefully reach the 600's but i don't think he'll be able to do it w/ the SC on there... i would think it would get way to hot.
You can use the JRSC.
What you need to do is customize the plenum of the JRSC and using a boost activated butterfly valve close off the route going into the blower in order to keep temps down. It's really not hard, but it's fairly difficult to tune and you're going to lose some top end along with have to worry about a lot of heat issues.
I was going to do it but decided against it.
