well hello all. i am new to this website. my friend's got a 2001 honda civic 1.7. i am a mazda man my self but i told him i would do some research. anybody have idea's on turbo's. I have looked around and not found much.. any help?? thanks all love the web site.

Well as for turbos. a T3/T4 will do, but you need to clue your buddy in on Fuel Management and other things before boosting the D17 and its weak *** bottom end.

 

I agree, the D17's are the redheaded stepchild of the D series.....dumb, ugly, slow, and weak.

 

talk to him about engine swaps before turbos

Hell I dont know, there are plenty of people on here with stock cars and they have no less respect than others with fully built/modded cars.

 

Exactly. Did 7 think we all thought he was "The Man" cuz he supposidly had a boosted k20 civic? I couldnt care less. Granted it would be a nice and fast setup, but I look down upon him for lying about it, i guess he is insecure. I bet he wont be around here anymore though.
