Alright, watch this video and tell me what you think that grating noise is. If you watch the Tach, its at like 45-5K rpms. Its about halfway through the video. It doesn't sound all that bad in the video, but just multiply it by like 100. It's really loud and you can really feel the car lurch when it does it. It just TOTALLY stops accelerating while its making the noise then as just suddenly starts pullin again like nothing happened. I'm lost.
It only does it in 2nd so far as I've noticed, but there really aren't that many places I can go WOT through 3rd or 4th gear.
