I have been thinking about this project for some time. If i had a single port V6(94-98 ) i would be all about doing this. Just think...

94-98 v6 $4000
M90 supercharger/extra parts/labor $1500

Right there you have a car that can run 13's for about $5500!
That is a stock car aswell. Add in a Possi and some 3.73's and you are down in the low 13's. Not a bad deal i think.

 

I'm assuming you're talking about your mustang right? Why not just got for the V8!

 

One reason this is a better alternative is because you can pick up a pre-99 v6 cheap anywhere for about 2500-3500 dollars, and all you have to do is grab some parts from an old supercoupe and throw it on there. It's going to take more then 5500dollars to make a NPI GT go into the 13's. Remember, this entire project is for EVERYTHING (car, parts, labor, supporting mods). It would be a fun project to do.Not to mention there is nothing like driving a boosted car.

 

Yeah I guess if the cost effectiveness make sense then it'd definitely be a sweet project. I've seen some good numbers coming out of the V6's in 'Stangs, but they still have a hard time touching a boosted 8.

 

why couldnt you just take the old motor out of the supercoupe with the supercharger? bet you could get it for a couple hundred bucks then put like a 1000 into performance parts and a rebuild

 

Thats something else you can do too, M90's are all over the place, its a little easier finding them then an entire engine. Plus the engines are pretty much exactly alike. A couple different things you can do.

 

we bought our camaro for $5500 and it runs 10's so WHAT NOW?!?!?!?!?! um but yea if you think it is cool to do a mustang with a differnt setup in it more power to ya.
