would a windsheild slow an AK bullet down enough so that a vest could hold it back? an AK shoots at just over 2k joules. i would think that unless they have some thick rifle plating in their vests a 7.62x39 shot would go through a vest.

thats true. it must not have been a rifle cartridge. it was either a pistol, or a sub-machine gun. it sounds fast, but not really as fast as a full-auto, but I cant see a semi making that many holes in that short a time. It could have been a slow full auto. crazy stuff though.
