More like a paint defect. Paint should not chip off big chunks like that if prepped & painted properly. It's worth a try to get the dealer to fix it but I doubt they will. Check for recalls on paint...

So ill contact the dealer, I think its ridiculous that paint would be coming off of a year old car. Ill check for paint recalls like you mentioned jake.
