2001 Civic DX suspension upgrade
Hey guys, I've got a 2001 Honda Civic DX (I know, DX.. So not much performance wise) and I want to upgrade my front suspension so I can I have some improved handling and so on as the stock setup is pretty soft. I'm not sure exactly on what I need to do this though. I'd like to do a full front suspension replacement, but depending on the price of everything (including labor), maybe I would be better off just replacing the most important parts of the suspension. I'm not really looking to lower it too much, if any at all, but if it's required then I wouldn't mind. If anyone could give me some advice on what I should get, what the price and labor would be that would be awesome.
-Thanks in advance.

I went with Tein Stechs as they had the least amount of drop(1.5") and the best performance. A lot of people on this forum have them and have said nothing but good things. There is even some people on here that are running them on stock struts, but almost everyone says change the shocks and springs at the same time. I went with Eibach shocks, Tein springs. Throw a front and rear strut bar (cheap ebay ones are fine IMO) and that should help your suspension out a lot. Read the stickies at the top of the Suspension forum, do some searching. I spent days pooring over the posts, and doing research before I chose my setup. Good luck!

Thanks for the replies.
I bought my springs from ebay, here is a link for your year:

The Eibach Pro shocks I bought off www.autoanything.com, but I am not sure if they have your year. My second choice for shocks was going to be either the Skunk2, or Tokico, both of those are ok brands IMO (others might say different) and can be found on ebay for around 240 shipped.
I bought energy suspension bushings (full set), was 145 shipped, and then went to the stealership and bought some new self-locking nuts, and Lowes for some grade-10 10mmX1.25 LCA bolts.
You can find a full set of 4 strut bars (2 upper, 2 lower) for $80 shipped.
So good luck on your setup, as I said do your research, there is a lot of posts in this forum as well as a lot of usefull information in the stickies at the top of the Suspension forum.
