Default 94 Civic LX Grinding Noise

i have a 94 civic lx wit a vtech engine... i had my car for about a year or so and i haven't had any problems until a couple months ago... everytime i apply the brakes, i hear like this grinding noise... i took it to my mechanic and we've been working on what it might be... the whole front end is brand new cause everytime we thought the problem was solved it came back... so far, i did the bearings, my boots, my brakes, and a axle... this weekend was the last straw on this... the grinding is still continuing and i dunno what else to do... he told me that it might be the tranny but the grinding only happens when i apply the brakes... anybody, please help....

Default RE: 94 Civic LX Grinding Noise

I had a similar problem with my 97 DX. Turned out to be a missing bolt on my left lower control arm. As I braked, the arm vibrated and the two sections were rubbing against each other. Check that all your bolts are torqued correctly and inspect all the bushings.
