ball joint removal

need to replace ball joints on my 00 si trying to hit up in the stud and it will not budge at all...help

hit the control arm where the stud goes through a couple of times...

never hit the stud, as you can damage the threads and keep the nut from threading back on

ya beat the hell out of the control arm it normally take three or four hard hits.... also use some wd40 when taking it out not when puttin it in.... i just changed mine on my 89 hatch was a bish cuz its so low and old kinda rough but stick with it its not to bad

how about this ive been "beating the hell" out of it from 11 am till 6:30 pm...it hasnt moved a cm..i took the whole knuckle out and im gonna bring it in to my mechanic if nobody has ne other ideas

ya take it to the mech... i had that prob on my old 280z hahaha but ya they popped it right out i mean you could go rent out a pickle????? i think thats it but to rent would prob cost as much as a mech doin it sorry bout the advi thought it might help a lil also hitting it on the head directly i know it sounds dumb but if you hit it into the joint somtimes the reflex knocks it out if not sorry bro...

i had those awsome 8 hours to try everything and theres no use of a pickle fork here thats if i were seperating the ball joint from the lca

its just another thing that makes u think why the hell do i do this myself...but im sure its worth it in the end
