Default Best wheel size?

Whats the best wheel size for my 2001 Honda Civic EX? I was thinking between the 17x7.0/7.5and 18/7.0/7.5? What size is better and why?

16 will give u close to stock ride
17 will be a lil bumpier less tire
18 will be alot bumpier and you have to watch potholes so u don't bend your rim (you will rub if u put a camber kit on)

is the car lowered or factory

It's stock, I was never really into imports until my dad picked this up so imports are all new to me.

personally, I'm going to say go with 17x7's. you don't really want 7.5's since that will probably lead to rubbing issues. I have 17x7's and I dont' really have any problems (except some minor rubbing, but my car is lowered about 2.5"... I had no rubbing issues before I lowered the car)

This is open to debate. Different people have different preferences. I don't like super-oversized rims on small cars.

16x7s are as big as I'd go on adaily-driven'01 Civic. With a 205/45 tire, handling is going to be pretty darn good, but ride is still going to be tolerable. Tires and rims are generally cheaper to replace too. 17x7s with 205/40s are ok for a weekend cruiser. If I wanted to spend more than that on a daily-driver, I'd be driving something fancier than aCivic.
