If you car is at stock height, 17s won't even be close to rubbing. I am wondering where some of you got the info that they will? I had 17x7.5 with 205/40/17 tires and wasn't even close to rubbing, ever. I had them on my first EK for a while, then sold them to a guy with a stock EG, never rubbed. My current hatch came with 17x7.5 wheels and is lowered 2.5 inches all around, and they only rubbed on hard turns.

i asked my bro about his rims, and he said they did rub on u turns.

i had 17s with stock suspension b4 and they rubbed
also with anyone in the back they rubbed to hell

I get my info from that I had an EG with 17s with 205/40-17 tires and the rims had a 40 offset. They rubbed on turns
