Default Cleaning Mistake....

ok i was doin some cleaning yesterday on my car cause the guy i bought it from i guess like hit a nasty dirt puddle and sent a **** load of mud into the engine bay cause theres dirt spots all over the engine bay and on the bottom (inside) of the hood, and i was cleaning it and then i took the stock tie bar (upper strut bar?)or what ever it is, off to re paint it to give it a clean lookand now i can't figure out how to get it back on. Was i not suppose to take it off, i have the 00' si so im figuring it was the stock bar cause he said everything on it was stock when i bought it from him, so was that not supposeto be removed if i wanted to get it back on. Any advise on HOW to get it back on...
i already feel really dumb so i hope i don't get picked on for this, lol

um. what do you mean, it won't go on?

if the holes won't line up, try jacking up the car in the middle, that will let the chassis flex some and you should be able to wrestle it on over the studs

well that the thing, the studs wont go into the holes, it seem like went they put the car together they had the bar placed over the holes (on the camber tower if thats what it is) and then screwed the studs in ...idk, it just seems like its impossible to get on unless i can go from the bottom and unscrew the bolts out and put the bar in place and put the screws back in...ahhh...whatevaa
