Default Clunking from Rear

I have a 1995 honda civic cx hatchback and when I brake a get a clunking or clicking noise coming from the rear suspension. On my protege a similar noise was caused by worn rear stabalizer links but the civic doesn't have links on the rear. Any suggestions of what this could be would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Ace

I get the noise under braking when the brakes are partially applied but when I fully apply the brakes the noise goes away. Don't know if this makes a difference.

well the common clunking noises are the bushings the 3 on the LCA, the main bushing that bolts the knuckle to the vehicle infront of the wheel.

but good luck with removing the rear suspension bolts on the LCA because they are commonly seized up!
just check em all out as good as you can... look for any cracks or if the center steel sleeves are even in the rubber bushing. if the sleeves are not even then the steel shaft has seperated from the rubber bushing and it sliding back and forth is giving you a clunk.
i had mine clunking quite a bit on my old 94 civic front strut bushings.

I've checked all the bushings in the rear and they are all fine except both my trailing arm bushings have a small crack in them. I've known about them for a while but have only noticed the clunking with the cooler weather so I don't think they're the problem but they obviously need to be changed. What am I looking for on the drums and why would they clunk?
