I used this http://www.duplicolor.com/products/engine.html. The color was the Ford Blue. Just use the high heat primer(do about 6 light coats) then sand it lightly(i used 1500grit) than paint it with the Engine Enamel.(I used 12 light coats then sanded with 2000grit.) It will look alittle hazy after you sand it, just use 3M rubbing compaound to bring it up to a nice shine. Thats it.

 

i have used that paint before but i havn't rubbed it out it works good i have painted wheels and every thing with dupli-color engine paint with ceramic in it and again nice work

 

looks good man.... let me guess you painted it FORD blue engine paint? lol i have the same color valve cover on my car that i painted...

great work. It must feel good to fabricate your own parts and know that there is nothing like that on the road. Do you notice any difference in handling with the front bar mounted?
