Default Driver side wheel is sqeaky! WTF!

Hey I have a 98 civic EX, all stock. The front drivers side wheel is annoyingly sqeaky and like a rubbing noise as well when it turns going from 0-40mph. It was humming really loud but that was the wheel bearing that I thought was the cause of all the noise, I just had a new bearing put in and it took care of the humming but now Im stuck with the squeak and rubbing noise left. Oh yeah and when they took the bearing off they showed it to me and it had small flat surfaces all the way around it, you could barely see them but apparently its what made the loud humming. I thought maybe if I rotated the tires it would help but I havent tried that yet. Dont know what it is or what to look for, please help.

Also my brakes are kind of squeaky in the front when I apply small pressure. Dont know how to stop the squeaks, I took it to the shop to see about my brakes and they said they had about 50% left and they were fine, just makes noise....

So on my way home the squeaky noise is louder and squeaks more when I turn the wheel left while driving and straight but when i turn right it goes away. It's like an uneven sound or the squeak sounds like its 1 time per tire rotation and it fades away with more speed.....if that helps.

Put the front end on stands, spin each front wheel, and listen for and localize the squeaking noise.

I was thinking it could possibly be the brakes on that side even though it doesn't happen when I apply any brake but maybe the calipers are bad on that side or one of the pads are hung up or seperated...

Alright, I finally got the chance to pop the wheel off and see what the hell is going on under there. Looks like it could be that stupid guard thing behind the rotor, it was bent in, and is probably about less than an 1/8" away from the rotor on the bottom part. I bent it out a little bit and we will see if that is what it was.....I hope. I rubbed my hand on it and it sounds exactly like the rubbing noise the wheel was making but hopefully it also has to do with that annoying squeak.

Ok if anyone is even looking at this, it is that stupid guard but I can't seem to get it tto stop. I see where it rubbing but it's right in the center part where the guard comes out on an angle from the middle of the rotor. It's touching it and you can see where it's grinding into the guard thing. I think Im just going to take it into the shop tomorrow and have them fix it for me because I can't seem to get the damn thing to shut up.

So I decided to change my oil and since i had the car off the ground I thought maybe I could get at it from the inside. I took some pliers and pulled that guard out a little bit took it for a drive this morning and totally quiet! YAY! Oh yeah and when I had the wheel off I checked the pads and there was some graphite stuck in the groove on the back pad so I scrapped that out and SQUEAKY FREE!
