E-brake removing

E-brake removing
Ok. I've decided i'm going to dip into my street bike savings and got to pick a part this week end and get my rear disc converion parts, any tools in particular that I may need? I've got a portable toolbok with about 250 sockets and wrenches form 3/16 to 1 1/8 and in 1/4 3/8 and1/2 inch, I'll be taking a full set of pliers and screwdrivers. The main thing that I was concerned about was removing the e-brake cable from the donor car. I've heard people having complications with removing them. Any advise or suggestion would be greatly appreciated! Thanks HCF!

RE: E-brake removing
My suggestion would be to take metric tools instead of SAE. Unless your tool kit comes with both.
The e brake cable ends are exposed by removing the back part of the mid console inside. I think a single bolt holds the e-cable clamp down. Back off the tension adjuster before removing the clamp and everything should wiggle apart. Then push the cables through the rubber grommets to the underside of the car. Underneath...remove various srews/bolts and work your way back to the rear. Once the LCA and trailing assembly is off the car it will all come home with ya. I think I remember Sac saying to get the brake lines too...but don't know if that was for the fronts or not.
