if you get coilovers in that price range you are asking for a ticket to death. Good set of coil overs 500+. Or you could go springs and dampers for about 500-600. Skunk2 and Nuespeed both give 2" drop or slightly more.

you can pile a bunch of fat people in your car, go on a road trip. j/k

you can get some lowering springs, but its better to do shocks and **** if you want the performance. if your rockin the stock suspention, you shock wear faster with lowering springs.

A few of us were talking in another thread and if you were to take off all your lugnuts and drive off, you're guaranteed to lower your car in 60 seconds (For free, even!!!) [sm=joke.gif] Anyway, don't cut springs! That'll make them lose a lot of their structural integrity, not to mention damage the whole system. Your best bet is to hold off, and save that money (instead of spending it right now) and get a good suspension setup. But if you have to (and only if you have to) get the lowering springs. I put them on my car recently (just cuz I HAD to have them...for some reason?) and you'll get improved handling and stuff, but you're ride suffers a lot. I'd save for a good system cuz you'll get what you paid for. As to what brands are best, I have no idea, but I think a bunch of people have recommended Tiens.

Again, I recommend the dropzone package...about the cheapest quality set-up you can get...I had mine shipped to the door for under $300. A little bumpier than it was stock, but I rather enjoy that...
