every time i pass through a damaged street. i hear a sound while i drive that goes like boom. i had two friends tell me i need new shocks and suspensions.

i'm curious which are some decent quality ones i can purchase for my civic car? my car is nothing special, its just a daily car. i have a 1997 civic coupe dx.

i may not be able to have both installed at the same time because of $$ but i can do them one at a time.

any idea which shocks and suspensions i should buy

 

"suspensions" is a very broad term. you have struts (or also called shocks), ball joints, control arm bushings etc. research how to identify the noise and go from there.

no "s" on the end of suspension. Its like the exhaust system of the car, you wouldn't say exhausts

 

look into a company called Progress Technology they make a high quality suspensions that won't break the bank. you want the CS2 not the CS1 kit.
