Default A little wheel help please

First off I want to get some rims for my car. Im not sure what size my tires are and I looked at the tires themselves and I couldnt tell from the numbers. I figure you guys will probably know what size they are from my cars info:

08 Civic LX Coupe

I havent changed anything so everything is stock.

Second question:

What are some good namebrands for rims? I am interested in having quality rims but it would be nice to not have to pay too much. Im thinking $200 or lower each would be nice.

Thanks guys!

Look around! There are stickies that tell you how to read a tire and what the numbers mean. And as for new rims....thats all about what you like! Do you like big or small? If it were me id go 16" but i have no clue what style you like so thats all up to you. Go on sites like tirerack.com and check out what rims and tires they have for your cars.

In a nutshell, the tire size will be in the format of aaa/bb-cc

aaa - tire width in millimeters
bb - sidewall height (in a percentage of tire width; bb% of aaa)
cc - wheel size

As far as wheel size, I'd think 16's or 17's would look great considering it's an 8th gen; they tend to look better with bigger wheels.

For wheels, brand doesn't matter too much unless you're planning on racing; just get whatever style wheels you like.

ya and for newer civics they run a larger tire. my friends07 or 08 civics 18s had larger tires than my 17s on my 99civic. the more sidewall you have the better ride you will have so keep that in mind when picking your wheel size. i personally like Enkei because its the style wheel i love.... the other style i like is the OEM 99-00 si 15s. but thats on my civic.... you cannt go wrong with OEM rims! otherwise check the width of the wheels and offset as well those are the most important 2 numbers when swaping wheels.... if theres not enough offset your tires will rub when turning all the time... to much offset and your wheels will stick out of the wheel wells and look like the beener mobile.....
