Default Lowered...now there's a popping sound

I put Megan lowering springs on my 98 Civic coupe a few weeks ago. Since then, I've been hearing a popping noise coming from the front driver's side wheel area. It seems to happen during a turn (or after I've straightened the wheel after a turn) or driving over a bump/uneven ground...it doesn't do it every time though. I've seen some other posts w/ similar problems, but no definitive answer.

What should I be checking to see if there's a problem?

its the top of the spring slipping, my guess is the top hat (rubber support piece) isnt on right. Mine did that for awhile and that was the reason, once the jack was lowered the rubber grommet moved slightly. Just jack it up and jiggle it around and put it back in place.....a little lube wouldnt hurt either.

it MIGHT be that. my suggestion is just take it apart and re adjust everything and make sure its all put together correctly, it sucks but i would do it.

The classic problem that causes popping is the suspension being indexed wrong. That can be due to the spring not being seated correctly. It can also be that the top hat is notaligned right with the bottom of the strut. The way the suspension works, it twists in there as well as going up and down. If everything isnt twisted the correct direction and lined up with everything else correctly when installed,it pops. Seating the spring isnt hard, then the tophat pieces should have some kind of arrow or hole or mark or something that lines up with one on the bottom, or at least the em2 does. Good news is an incorrectly indexed spring only costs time to fix.
