HP struts are pretty nice, the ride is just as comfortable as OEM yet you will still feel the difference in cornering. Though, I'd suggest getting the HPK setup (HP springs and shocks) because the springs and shocks will have matched rates for a really nice ride. Either that or save up a little more and get some ground control or skunk2 coilovers

So it only drops 1.5 inch. I gotta go home and measure that out

1.5" is more than enough for PA driving...I was 2.3" down and there wasn't a single elevation that I didn't scrape...

It depends on your car I think, I got the HPK setup and my car is about 2" lower than stock, and yea, I scrape some things on occasion, you just have to go reaaally slow over speedbumps and stuff

My car's sitting 3" off the ground and I don't scrape... you just have to know how to drive a lowered car (which also means knowing which roads you can drive on and which you can't... and for the record, there's only a few roads around here that I can't drive on)

Tokico HPs and Tein S-Techs are a goos set up for about 1.5 inch drop too. Ive heard mixed opinions on Skunk2 springs. If you go coilovers, Ground Control is great and I hear Skunk2 are pretty good.

The worst thing I've ever heard about skunk2 springs is that the springrates are too low (which wouldn't be a bad thing unless you want a really, really stiff ride). I can say from personal experience that Ground Controls are amazing.
