bfh & ball joint seperator work just as well
use it like you would use a chisel, get it right at the joint, and tap it lightly to get it started, then whack the **** outta it once it gets going

Good news I got the bastard off with this Ball Joint Separator cost me 20 bucks and worked like a freaking charm. Crank on the bolt and the think came off. Had a Mech press the new bushings on the LCA for me and all was good.
