new strut

Default new strut

Hey everyone. I have a 2001, stock civic witht he five speed. The left front strut is gone....... inside the spring you can see the top of the strut is just blown. Ride is terrible..... Want to replace myself. Anyone with advice on how to or where to get stock parts??? Thanks

Why get stock? Brand new stock on the average will run you more than aftermarkets which typically run better anyway.

I agree, you will probably end up spending less, getting something like Tokico Hp's or KYB's. If you have any questions, let me know!

Anyone have a suggestion on what aftermarket struts to buy??? Just looking to replace the original, so don't need hi-perf or anything. Really just looking to do it on a budget.

I dont think you quite understood my post. IT WILL BE CHEAPER TO GET AFTERMARKET STRUTS. THEY WILL ALSO PERFORM BETTER FOR YOU.

No, I got. Got on the Tokico site and checked out the prices......MUCHO cheaper. They're in Cali, so I'll be calling them later today. How difficult is it to replace them?? Will standard tools suffice?? Thanks.
