Exclamation New wheels!!

I recently purchased a fully stock 2008 EX-L after owning nothing but trucks/SUV's. I'm really enjoying the MUCH lower fuel bill. Still working on getting in and out of my civic, but I'll get there.

My question...

I would like to fill out the wheel well with the biggest wheel possible. I would also like a little wider wheel too. The stock rims just seem way to small in diameter, and way to thin. That being said, I don't want to run into issues with tire rub when turning, or even worse having the top of the tire rub on the fender lip when I hit a larger than normal bump, pothole or crater. I know ride quality will be affected.

Thanks for any advice.

Give Tire rack a call. If anyone would know, it would be those guys. Keep an eye on total wheel/tire weight because if you haphazardly increase unsprung weight, your ride, acceleration, and stopping ability will suffer. I went from 14-incg wheels and baloon tires to 16-inchers with 45-series tires and gained NO unsprung weight at all. Some wheels are much heavier than same-sized wheels, so as I said, choose carefully.
